Court babies all dressed up. They’d have to have been, they all lived at Versailles. François-Hubert Drouais, painter. Living from 1727 to 1775, he was was a leading French portrait painter during the latter years of Louis XV’s reign.

effervescing on the breath of a grandfather lion as his daughter’s cubs leap on his tail as somewhere in South America in an abandoned pet shop something starts to happen . . . the animals taking over  . . perhaps two legged ones to turn into pets for pythons . . . perhaps not . . . .maybe to be kept to dance for the giraffes over at the zoo instead . . . hmmm . . .

effervescing on air on the growl of an ancient wolf as she creeps out on silent feet from her lair somewhere in the very north of Scotland . . . a paw here and a paw there. . . crofters in their cottages to creep up on under a harvest moon and creatures to stalk down by the sea . . . where next with a wraith in raven form to lead the way . . . .who can tell . . .better to try to hide. . . if you can.

Africa, a love pat for the Great Zambezi and water headed upstream . . . the Antarctic in winter and enough new ice for a thousand years  . . . back headed for somewhere and more yet to come . . .
