rising on air on the last bubble in a bottle of leftover champagne as somewhere in an old and long forgotten beach town on the edge of a sapphire sea the casino rises on the shore . . . in clouds and sea mist this time not pink painted cypress but still . . . a peek in the windows and showgirls down from somewhere bigger . . . dusty feather tails but their crowns all right and their escorts looking dandy . . . the last show it was before the storm took it out . . . back even if for a minute . . . maybe longer if you forget to blink . . .
