A selection from the volume “Pâte sur Pâte” (Clay on clay), written by Minton artist Marc Louis Solon who had previously worked for Sévres. “Clay on clay” being a technique where successive layers of liquid clay are applied to a body in order to build up a low-level decorative relief.
