Panorama of the painted ceiling in the nave of Peterborough Cathedral, England. Ceiling painted around 1230 and copied in full living color by the very talented John Sleigh in the 1840’s. Entitled “Strickland’s Lithographic Drawing of the Ancient Painted Ceiling in the Nave of Peterborough Cathedral”, it was published in 1849.

The last three being details of the first. There were only a very few copies made but fortunately one landed at in the special collections library at Princeton from which these three images come.

Round stained glass to turn any white wall into a prism with every color in the rainbow . . .. back and forth through time and place.
