Portraits of women in furs. Not recent because they were painted by English artist Sir Gerald Festus Kelly who died in 1972 (and was born in 1879). Studied art in Paris.

Portraits of women by British artist Louis Ginnett who was part of the Arts and Crafts Ditchling community. Living from 1875 to 1946, he exhibited at the Royal Academy.

Portraits of women ready to go out and dance the night away. Albert Braitou-Sala, painter. Living from 1885 to 1972, he left Tunisia and studied at the Académie Julian in Paris.

Renaissance ladies with ruffs that look itchy. Italian.Alessandro Allori, artist. Living from 1535 to 1607, he was a portrait painter of the late Mannerist Florentine school. Pupil of Agnolo Bronzino.

Ladies in red painted by Sir John Lavery. Not all of them being his standard society kind. Irish born, he lived from 1856 to 1941 and painted many a grand portrait that ended up over a fireplace in Mayfair.
