Ladies from the 1830’s dressed to kill. French. Alexandre-Jean Dubois-Drahonet, artist (1791-1834). Mostly doing portraits, he also liked to sketch various national and military costumes.

Watercolors that belonged to Victoria and Albert. Queen Victoria commissioned a series of albums of places she and her husband loved or had visited. These are three of the pictures, two from a visit to Albert’s childhood home and a later one of her birthday table at Osborne.

19th century people feeling grand. French. Eugène Lami, artist. Living from 1800 to 1890, he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. All of these with Queen Victoria though he painted other people too.

Crowd scenes with everyone decked out in their best clothes by French artist Eugène Louis Lami. Living from 1800 to 1890 he also illustrated books and painted people one at a time but I like these best.
