Making sure no one thinks you shop at IKEA. Decor ideas from “Style Empire.” An 1895 reprint of an 1801 piece with designs after Charles Percier and P. F. L. Fontaine who did design work for the Empress Josephine. This copy descended in the family of Gustav Stickley who – in 1897 – provided Empire style furniture for the Waldorf Astoria hotel.
