Silver plate mechanical clamshell biscuit barrel. Ball handle and thee triangular shaped drop down sections each with a pierced cover, the sections having scalloped stylized raised scroll designs held at the top with a simple ring and ball mechanism. Jugendstil Art Nouveau centerpieces made by German firm WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik) that will pretty up any tea table. Silver plate and cut glass. WMF is still around but they make coffee machines for offices now.

Antique trays made to hold your friends calling cards. So much jazzier than an ancient saucer from the kitchen. Made in Germany by WMF. Starting up in 1853 they are still making things though not ones that look like these.
