Heading out to where the sun is always shining. Impressionist art by Ethel Carrick. Living from 1872 to 1952, she was English but spent much of her life in Australia and France. Associated with the movement known as the Heidelberg School.

Paintings by Danish painter Christen Dalsgaard. Living from 1824 to 1907, he studied art in Copenhagen. The textiles are wonderful, especially the paisley shawl in the first image.

Portraits by Olof Johan Södermark. Living from 1790 to 1848, he painted queens along with other ladies less well remembered. Swedish but he spent much time studying and painting in Paris, London, Rome and Munich.

Portraits of Renaissance ladies painted by François Clouet who was painter and valet de chamber to four French kings so a maker of death masks and funeral decorations for the deaths of kings along with the portraits he is remembered for. All of these from the website of artuk which has images from a great many British art museums, city and town halls, etc. etc.
