Nearly forgotten but glorious art, envisionings and historical oddments from the back corners of the internet
Ideas from every new trend to decorate any drawing room and make the clients happy from northern Scotland to the Isle of Wight. Plates from Owen Jones “The Grammar of Ornament” which was published in London in 1910.
On a voyage to see how much mileage I can get from the creative ability and eye for images that my family thought was useless. On line art curator, fiction writer and now blogger. Historian's daughter. Follow me . . .even I have no idea where I'm going next.

Hi Sarah, All is glorious. As usual. Just submitted several comments on a variety of topics from your most recent “The Glamour of Ornament to older topics. Equally fascinating but once again, after it appeared they had been submitted, the screen went wonky and started asking me to register all over again. The previous comments had vanished. Did you ever receive them? Alas; WordPress seems to be a mess in this department. Sigh.
No this one I just approved it should go up momentarily. Love these ornament pattern books. Knowing of three and the archives where they are kept and hoping to find more to share soon.
