“California Living Room. Designed in Spanish-Italian influence it is informal and very livable. The walls are rough plaster in soft color tones. The rug is a hand-tufted carpet and also soft in tone. Hangings are copper-colored mohair damask. This shade is picked up in the mohair upholstered davenport and again in the table scarf. A contrasting and cooler color, “blue,” has been introduced to balance the warmer copper tones. ” John Breuner Company, San Francisco designer and maker.
