Oil portraits of 1830s European ladies. Not sure how many hair pins it took to make their hair stay puffed out like that. A lot. Wilhelm Ferdinand Bendz, painter. Living from 1804 to 1832, he was born and raised in Denmark but died in Italy where he had gone to paint. They all went to Italy to paint if they could remotely afford it.
