Take a trip around the Pacific if only in your mind. Hand-colored lithographic plates from “Voyage pittoresque autour du monde” and “Vues et paysages des regions equinoxiales recueillis dans un voyage autour du monde”, which came out in 1822 and 1826. They are made after drawings by drawings by Louis Choris who was the official artist traveling with Otto von Kotzebue’s world voyage of 1815-1818. Part of a current Christie’s auction as one lot.

These books appear to also be in the National Archive of Australia but a lot of the lithographs don’t appear to be scanned. This one with the volcano is but I like the colors in the Christies version better.
