scintillating on air on the yellow of a daffodil smiling at the sun while down in the park the children gather . . . two snowstorms and week after week with no school . . . the snow in front of the big rock jumped on and made flat for a stage with the back not too hard to climb for a big brother to jump off of and get the villain . . . one’s own play, not the ones downtown you have to get dressed up and sit in a seat to see . . . no, one to watch in snow pants and mittens with mugs of hot chocolate that someone’s auntie made and sleds to ride home on . . .
