An envisioning. 1963 and summer shimmering away where the rice fields meet the sky on the outskirts of Roseville, Missouri.

Up early, but not before the grandchildren erupt into the kitchen. A cup of coffee and a cruller wanted. Getting to supervise the sorting of Kool-Aid packets by size and then by color, with everyone wanting their favorite mixed up first instead.

My new envisioning/short fiction piece. Please use the link to see the rest.
