sparking on air as in the back of the lumberyard somewhere in the east a whisper and then a shriek . . . a geyser of boards up into the sky followed by pieces meant for staircases and then whatever is left . . . something beginning to inch back . . . wood better sold on a different island perhaps . . . doesn’t seem to want it here.
