The text accompanying these miniatures is written in something called Bastard Gothic and a lot of it is faded out. I can read/auto translate French but not written in Bastard Gothic which google says was a form of Gothic that was easier to write in. But these images are lovely. Poor Queen Claude whose mother was Duchess of Brittany in her own right before her was married off at around 14 and then more or less continually pregnant until she died at 24, no doubt worn out.
