“Firelight Flickering on the Ceiling of the World”: The Aurora Borealis in Art

Do you follow the Public Domain Review? Maybe not and I don’t usually post links to other people’s articles but these Aurora Borealis (Northern (and Southern) Lights in Art are glorious. I don’t believe I could remotely do it justice by pulling out a few so you’ll have to look through them for yourself.
