Drawings of interiors by English artist John Wykeham Archer. Living from 1808 to 1864, he studied engraving under John Scott. Archer mostly drew the outside of buildings and places but I like these better. Collections of the British Museum, London.

Staircase by Inigo Jones in Ashburnham House, Little Dean’s Yard, Westminster; a view of a grand and ornate staircase, a young woman in a red skirt and dark top ascends the stairs, followed by a small black and white dog halfway up the first flight. 1849. English.
