Shaped oblong form centerpiece suggestive of a boat with central projections featuring the arms of Baron Hyndley of Meads, Sussex. The body of the centerpiece features applied insignia for a Knight Bachelor, a Baronet, a knighthood of the Order of the Crown of Italy and the 1935 jubilee medal for George V. At each end of the centerpiece is a mermaid on rope support. The bowl has a removable flower grille, allowing for its use as a rose bowl. 1934-1935. Arts and Crafts. English, made in London. Lidded cup featuring an ornate graduated column with a shield shaped monogram above a wreath applied to the one side with the cup having a domed fitted lid with a curved finial. the exterior of the cup and lid are both embellished with a hammered finish and the interior of the cup and lid are both gilded. 1923.
