Shaped oblong form centerpiece suggestive of a boat with central projections featuring the arms of Baron Hyndley of Meads, Sussex. The body of the centerpiece features applied insignia for a Knight Bachelor, a Baronet, a knighthood of the Order of the Crown of Italy and the 1935 jubilee medal for George V. At each end of the centerpiece is a mermaid on rope support. The bowl has a removable flower grille, allowing for its use as a rose bowl. 1934-1935. Arts and Crafts. English, made in London.
