Portraits of children by Irish painter Sir Martin Archer Shee. Living from 1769 to 1850, he served as president of the Royal Academy and the Birmingham Society of Artists.

Renaissance little ones bundled up like puffballs. One a bit famous and the others not, but all adorable as they gaze out at us no doubt thinking we are underdressed.
