Images of the Brazilian state of  Pernambuco in northeast Brazil back in 1873. Chromolithographs, taken from Francisco Henrique Carls’ “Album de Pernambuco e seus Arrabaldes.” All these images having been one lot in a Swann Auction Galleries auction a little while ago.
