Cornucopia vases in porcelain by Jacob Petit. Born in 1796, he started out as a painter for  Sèvres but later went into business for himself with his own factory at Fontainebleau.

Pair of porcelain cornucopia vases that are mounted on rectangular bases in a peach wash decorated with rocaille and gilded swags and vines. Corners finished with swans and the horn with its robin’s egg blue palette being molded and painted with flowers in reserve on each side. The rims are rococo with undulating flourishes, decorated in gold in the upper interior. ca. 1840. French. Made by Jacob Petit (1796 or 1797 – 1868).
