Pochoir prints from “Relais 1930,” a posthumous collection of designs by Édouard Benedictus who lived from 1878 to 1930 and designed textiles and wallpaper. Digital collections of the New York Public Library.
Pochoir prints from “Le Livre de la vérité de la Parole.” A limited edition of only 150, this was a set of plates sold in a slip case. There were 106 plates in black and white and color along with other plates, and a text drawn from ancient Egyptian writings by Joseph Charles Mardrus. François-Louis Schmied did the plates. It was printed in Paris in 1929.
Seashells from 1811 that look just like the ones on the beach, taken from George Brown’s “The Elements of Conchology, or, Natural History of Shells” which was published in London in 1816. All the plates being signed by George Brown and Robert Scott.
