Vases and some other interesting little things from American ceramics firm Weller Pottery which was in the state of Ohio. Founded in 1872 it closed right after World War II.

Pillow vase from the “Aurilian” line. Dark brown ground with hand painted decoration in slip under a gloss glaze, the front having a spray of flowers in burnt orange and dark yellow with green leaves and an area of mustard with abstract splashes on the sides and back in red and yellow. 1898-1910 with the die stamp on the underside suggesting a date before 1900. Earthen ware. Signed “Weller” on the bottom with an impressed die stamp. Marked by hand with the artist’s initials. It also has the numbers 502 and 7. 1898 and 1910.
